The beach is short scenic walk along the bluff to Fletcher Cove. There is a lovely park above the beach with playground for the kids, picnic area, and basketball court. There is a lifeguard station, restrooms, and public showers. Excellent restaurants close by as well.

An added attraction on Sunday is a Farmers Market that can't be beat.
www.dmtc.com - Del Mar Racetrack season in Mid July to September attracts fans from around the world. Free double decker shuttle buses runs frequently from the Solana Beach train station two blocks from Surfsong.
www.gonctd.com - The Coaster and Amtrak station two blocks from Surfsong can provide access and a fun train ride up and down the coast, including Old Town San Diego, or the San Diego airport with a free transfer. Leave the driving to them.
